MudFlaps - Mufflap Girl
MudFlaps, or Mud Guards or Splash Guards help protect the finish of your car or truck from chips & dings from rocks or sand thrown up by the wheels. I live in the Western USA and not all the roads are paved. The sand and gravel thrown up by the wheels will quickly take a toll on the vehicles finish. I have also had the "Pleasure" of replacing several windshields bropken by rocks thrown up by a vehicle ahead of me. I would rather not do that to anyone else

The mud flap girl was created in the 1970's and a whole line of products besides mudflaps has grown up around it. You can buy belt buckles and jewelry which feature her.
